Find Recycling Centres

York Recycling Service

32 New Building, Murton Way, York YO19 5UW, UK – 01904 849736

Really efficient friendly service. Tom was professional to deal with and worked quickly to help with my house clearance. Would highly recommend!

Had to deal with a large amount of cardboard after moving in so this was a life saver. Excellent, friendly service! Many thanks!

St Nicks - Nature Reserve & Environment Centre

57 Rawdon Ave, York YO10 3ST, UK – 01904 411821

I visit this lovely little nature reserve at least once a week. I'm amazed at the richness of the wildlife here - and it's just a mile from the centre of York. Take your time walking through the reserve - and keep your eyes open. You never know what you might see! I've seen both Kingfishers and Water Voles on Tang Hall Beck, where it flows through the reserve

Great place, with lovely staff. They do our recycling and they do a great job.

York Community Furniture Store Ltd

Unit 29/34A, The Raylor Centre, James St, York YO10 3DW, UK – 01904 426444

Purchased six chairs and matching dining table in perfect condition. Excellent value, and good quality. You cannot possibly go wrong.

Having walked round the store i find they have really good modern and older style furniture. The prices are for either a person on benefits or not but both are very reasonable. Baby and nursery items are upstairs along with tvs and white goods and some smaller items of furniture, bedside drawers etc mattresses and beds.If your looking for something you can't find in the shops try the Community store you will probably find it there and so.much cheaper.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.
